Getting to camp
Where camp is, when gates open, and what to do once you are through. No sign-in, and nothing here needs a connection — which is the point, because the gate is where you will read it.
Where camp is
10:00 & B
Camp Fauxliage. Black Rock City addresses are a clock position and a radial street, so walk the 10 o'clock spoke out to B. If a camp mesh node is up, it will be mounted high on the shade structure — but do not navigate by it. The address is what to go by.
Open this page on wifi before you leave. Placement landed late and your phone may be holding the copy that predates it.
When you get in
Gates open 12:01am on Sunday 30 August, and the city closes Monday 7 September. Gate is Black Rock City's, not camp's — there is nothing camp can do to speed it up, which is the reason this page is saved to your phone rather than sitting behind a sign-in.
Come find Blake with your radio once you are parked. Bring the radio, its cable, and your phone. Setup happens at camp over Starlink, and it is not finished until you have watched a message arrive on a second radio.
If you cannot find camp
Your printed pocket card has the camp channel QR on it. A radio that is already on the mesh can reach camp from most of the city, and it works with a dead phone — which this page cannot claim.
